Carina Yee, violin
Sirui Wang, piano
with Ashley Vogler and Dylan Jowell, collaborators
with music by Beethoven, Enescu, Auerbach, and Bacewicz
Carina Yee is a senior at Eastman School of Music studying violin performance with Oleh Krysa. Her past teachers include Igor Kalnin, Tarn Travers, Joseph Kromholz, and Hirono Borter. In addition to music, Carina is pursuing a Language, Media, and Communication degree at University of Rochester. Carina grew up in Decorah, Iowa. When she was five years old, her grandparents took her to an auction to look at Barbie dolls. Instead, she fell in love with a battered violin hanging on the wall, and the rest is history.
